June in Review and J A Castle Studios

We know some of you saw Joey's epic leap into the Marina at the end of our show at the Old Boathouse in Constantia on June 4th.  If someone has video (or even pictures): we want it! If you get a chance be sure to check out the bands that joined us that night: When Everything Fails and Mike McKay.

On June 5th we had the pleasure of joining 12 fantastic CNY bands who all came together to play a benefit for original founding band member of the Fulton Chain Gang, drummer Mike Delouisa, who has an aggressive form of brain cancer.  It was amazing to share the stage with so many accomplished musicians who were all there for one of the biggest advocates of live music in CNY.  Joey showed our appreciation by performing our last song from the top of the Fulton Chain Gang's van.

Thanks to our brothers in Born Again Rebels for asking us to be a part of their 8th anniversary bash on June 10th.  We're proud to be a part of the BAR family.

As many of you know, Rob likes to climb buildings.  On Saturday June 11th we were a part of The Landmarks Society of Greater Utica's fundraiser to save some of the buildings he likes to climb.  We played 2.5 songs and were thunder-clapped off the stage.  No.  We do not play outside through thunderstorms. We did learn, however, that the Society's goal is to raise $600,000 as part of a grant matching program in order to save three of the four remaining gorgeous old mansions that stand on the edge of Rutger Park. There is a lot more information (and pictures) about these historic homes in this album.  Needless to say, we will be helping them with more fundraising events in the coming months.

That night we were invited to open for one of Utica's finest cover bands, Devour, at Mr. McGill's.  Thank you to everyone that was there!  Those guys are really great musicians, and we would play with them anytime!

Saturday we entered the studio to make some Just A Memory magic happen.  10 hours is a LONG time to be recording, but if we have our choice, we're making a life of this.  This time in we all felt better prepared, and the Chief Engineer at J.A. Castle Recording Studio, Matt Wagner, is absolutely top notch.  He rocks at what he does and these tracks will be amazing. We're back in on Monday and Wednesday of next week and can't wait to have this music in your hands.

We'll be playing in Syracuse again on July 8th at Station 58 with Autumn Fire and Shattered Envy to kick off our East Coast Havoc tour.  We hope to see some of you there!

Thanks again for supporting us.  We couldn't do any of this without you!
